About me

Hello, I’m Maxence. I’m a mathematics PhD student in Université de Nantes under the supervision of Elise Goujard and Duc-Manh Nguyen. My research is on moduli spaces of k-differentials.

More specifically, my thesis focuses on computing volumes of these spaces, and on studying combinatorial, algebraic and probabilistic questions on these k-differentials.

My broader mathematical center of interests are the fields in which visuals and drawings play a key role. They personally help me a lot understanding what’s going on. This concerns most of geometry, but is not limited to it.

Outside of my research area, I am interested in rock climbing, piano, philosophy of mathematics and science communication, especially for those that the scientific institutions often leave at bay.
